2017 Guns & Roses Not In This Lifetime Tour W/ The Deftones US Bank Stadium Minneapolis Minnesota

Last night was the Minneapolis stop for Guns & Roses and the Deftones on the “Not in This Lifetime” 2017 Tour. Good Show. I kinda new what to expect since we caught the show last Summer at Solider Field in Chicago on the 1st leg of their tour. It did not disappoint.

You expected Axle to come out late, he did not. You expected Axle to be a little messed up, he was not. You expected a quick in and out show, it was close to 3 hours! I think I liked the show in Chicago better than last nights. I love US Bank Stadium, but I feel like it is not meant to host concerts. It is so big, the sound can get lost in the Stadium very easy and come off muffled and muddled.

The Deftones opened and I was very excited. I am a huge Chino and Deftones fan. I was a little disappointed because A) like normal, they did not play Back To School, B) It was a super short set, and C) the sound wasn’t that great. But they did play some rockin songs. I will always go see them.

Guns came out promptly and rocked it. The music came through pretty clear, but it seemed like Axle was not projecting his voice like he should and the lyrics and vocals came off as distorted. It seemed to clear up as the show progressed.

They played some Soundgarden as a tribute to Chris Cornell and that was super cool. Neat that I waited since 1994 to hear that song live and now I have heard it twice live in 2 months. Once by Soundgarden right before Chris Passed and by Axle and the guys last night. (That is the video below) All in all it was a good show. Sucks to have that late of a show on Sunday, work is never fun, but that is the price you pay.

This is the Setlist G&R played last night. All the classics! And a 6 Song Encore!
