So yesterday I was talking about the newest Coffee Beer I was drinking, the Oatmeal Cream Stout Named Buffalo Sweat by TallGrass Brewing in Manhattan KS. When I like a beer, I like to go to the companies website and learn more about them and other beers they offer. When I got to the Page for their Buffalo Sweat beer, I noticed that there was a recipe at the bottom. Pretty simple, so we figured it was worth a shot.
Pretty basic setup like any Float. Step 1) Put Ice Cream in Pint Glass Step 2) Pour Beer over Ice Cream. I was a little apprehensive to try this out. The idea of Ice Cream and Beer didn’t sound very appealing. But, it smelled good and looked good so I figured why not.
The trick I learned with this was the ratio in your spoon. To much beer and it had a overpowering beer flavor, to much Ice cream and you were missing the point! Once I figured out my mixture for what I dug, it was pretty good! Not something I would eat often or a ton of, but I am excited to give it a whirl at the cabin this Summer on a nice hot day!
