Black O’Lantern Pumpkin Stout From Wasatch Brewery

So, as I have stated in the past, I am a sucker for can art! It will get me every time! The beer could be ground liver and cat food flavor, but if the can is sweet, I’ll probably buy it! I’m even more of a Sucker for Halloween, so when you can combine the 2, you got me! Enter Black O’Lantern Pumpkin Stout.

I went into trying this with the idea that it was going to be terrible. How could this be good? I mean, I love Pumpkin Pie, and I love Stout, so that combo should be a no brainer. But, I have been burned by this logic before. I got this baby Ice cold and decided to give it a whirl.

Just like the name implies, it’s a dark beer. So dark! When you hold it up to the light, you see a little red in there. Pretty neat. It has a very subtle sweet smell and that helped ease some of my anxiousness. The flavor was awesome! Not overpowering Pumpkin but enough where you can pick up on all the different spices. Mellow, not overwhelming at all like I expected. I would for sure recommend this one! It would be sweet to have a 6 pack of this in you fridge this Fall!

  1. I fall for can art, too. I love pumpkin, but not stout. That said, I would try this because you never know when I may change my mind about stout.

LOL! I’m a sucker for beautiful bottles and labels. I’ve purchased some very bad wines, just because I loved the bottle! LOL

I really appreciate how labels have become to incredibly creative these days. Love it!

I still don’t like beer, but I love the look of them. 😀 I can enjoy it vicariously through my daughters.

I’ve been there with the wine bottles as well! I see that stuff and I’m like “Oooh, something shiny, here’s my money”!

I know, right!!! And they always seem to have the worst wine. I remember picking up a beautiful, hand panted bottle of wine as a gift for my parents, many years ago. It was awful! Not as bad as the gorgeous bottle of wine, with a spiral twisted neck, and a woven basket on the base, that I bought for a weekend getaway when my husband came back from sea. It was so bad, we actually poured it down the toilet. Horrific stuff!

But I kept that bottle for years. LOL

At least you got a cool bottle a sweet story out of it!
