I always like some grilled fruit! Especially on a nice day, mix it in with some Ice Cream or Frozen Yogurt! So Awesome! These are so easy, it takes little to no effort. Here is what you will need
- Fresh Pineapple
- 2 Bananas
- 3/4 Cup Brown Sugar
- 1 Stick Butter
- 1/2 Lemon Juiced
- Vanilla Ice Cream or Frozen Yogurt
I like to do this when I am grilling other things, so right after dinner, I can just throw this stuff on a already hot grill. So if your grill is already hot, time to prep the fruit. 1st, slice the Pineapple but leave the core in. I took mine out, but it will hold together better on the grill in the core is intact. Next, slice the bananas in half lengthwise with the peel on.
In a small sauce pan, melt the butter on low heat. When the butter is melted, stir in the brown sugar and the lemon. Remove from heat and let it thicken up a bit. Once it is thicker. Go ahead and brush it onto the fruit.
When you place the bananas on, go ahead and put them cut side down first. After about 3 minutes, go ahead and flip the fruit over and baste the other side with the sugar mix. Give it another 3 minutes. The banana skin should be pulling away from the fruit. That is a good sign it is ready.
Remove from the grill, place on top of your favorite Ice Cream, sprinkle with some cinnamon and enjoy!
