I love the Internet and all its awesome ideas. Thanks to Charbroil, here is a new favorite. Grilled Stuffed Bananas. I did 3 flavors. One thing I would change would be to save some extra toppings for the end. Here’s how to do it.
Get your coal burning. I used Cowboy Lump Charcoal and i kept it in a pile to one side to create a indirect heat cooking area.
Take 6 banana’s and make a slice almost all the way through lenghtwise. Take 6 pieces of tinfoil and crumple them up to make little cooking stands for the fruit.
For the 1st one, i diced fresh strawberries, crushed some hazlenuts and added some milk chocolate M&Ms.
For the 2nd 2, i used a Smore combo from Hershey’s that had mini marshmallows, grahm cracker crumbs and chocolate chips.
For the 3rd ones, i used a combo of Reeses Peanut Butter chips, Chocolate chips and crushed peanuts.
I took all 6 bananas out to the grill and placed them and their little tin foil stands in indirect heat. The goal is to cook them at 350 degrees for about 8 minutes.
Then it’s up to you what you would like to do. I scooped mine out and covered them in ice cream. Good luck!
This is insane. I don’t like bananas, but I love this creative application. What else can we turn into a smores pie?
